Privacy Policy

The short version

• When you ask for suggestions, the screenshot or text you choose is sent to our server and to Anthropic's API to write them. We don't keep the screenshot afterwards.
• The Wingline keyboard only sends text when you tap one of its buttons. When you tap Polish, it sends the message you typed in that field to rewrite it, and keeps nothing afterwards. It never records what you type with other keyboards.
• We don't sell or share your personal information, and we don't run ads.

What we collect, and why

• Screenshots and text you share (a dating profile, a chat, a message you copied, or a draft you tap Polish on), your heat setting, any example messages you add for "sound like you", and what you write in "About you" and "Looking for". Used only to generate your suggestions in that request. Your About you text and example messages are saved on your phone, not on our servers.
• Waitlist email, if you join the waitlist. Used to tell you when Wingline is available. Stored with our database provider (Upstash).
• Basic technical data such as request timing and errors, without the content of your screenshots or messages, to keep the service working and prevent abuse.

Your choice about cloud AI

Nothing goes to our cloud AI until you agree in the app, and you can turn it off anytime in Settings (Cloud AI suggestions). On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, free suggestions are written by Apple's on-device model and never leave your phone.

Deleting your data

In the app, Settings → Delete all my Wingline data removes everything stored on your phone (About you, texting style, example texts, remembered chats and recent suggestions). Our servers don't store your screenshots or messages. To delete your waitlist email, email us.

Screenshots of other people

Screenshots can include another person's name, photos or messages. We use them only to write your suggestions and do not keep them, build profiles of anyone, or use them to train models. Please only share content you received through your own account.

Who processes your data

• Anthropic generates suggestions from what you share. Anthropic's commercial terms do not allow it to train models on API inputs; it may keep inputs for a limited period under its own data retention policy.
• Vercel hosts our website and server. Upstash stores waitlist emails.

Keyboard "Full Access"

iOS requires Full Access for a keyboard to use the internet. Wingline uses it to request suggestions and to read your clipboard only when you tap Reply or Screenshot, and the text in the field you're typing in only when you tap Polish. It can tell whether a copied image is waiting, so it can offer the Screenshot button, without reading the image until you tap it. We don't log keystrokes.

Age

Wingline is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Your rights

You can ask us to access or delete your information (for example, your waitlist email) by emailing us. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We don't sell or share personal information.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app for material changes.
